Daily Prayer

Lord, Jesus, I pray for John and Sarah- so that they will understand Who You are–that they will fall in love with You—receive You as Savior–and Be passionately devoted to You all their lives.

2 Timothy 3:15

“And how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

I love to do dishes and laundry!

Today it was warmer!  Yahoo!  We have running water!!  For the past few hours, I have been the mad dishwasher and launderer.  Living on a boat, nothing is more uncomfortable than a pile of dishes in the sink, or a mountain of laundry in the mud room!  Oh what excitement!

Sorry…I lost control!  We had a pretty fun day today!  We saw a “diving duck” for the first time this season.  (I am sure they have been around…we just finally took the time to look!)  I think his official name is “Lesser Scaup”  (http://www.pbase.com/btblue/diving_ducks).  Unfortunately, there was only one little guy, and he didn’t stay very long.  Hopefully, when all the ice melts on the water,  there will be more and I can get a better look –maybe even a photo.   They are so cool to watch, though, because they dive under water for what seems to be an eternity.  Then, they bob back to the surface.

On another note:  I was inspired today after reading Carried on the Wind ‘s post to pray more specifically for my children daily.   We always pray for their salvation, but there is so much more!  I am going to use my Bible Study Fellowship’s (http://www.bsfinternational.org/ ) outline for praying for John and Sarah.

Heavenly Father, I pray today for John and Sarah, that they will enjoy Bible stories now and when they are old enough, they will make and keep a commitment to study the Bible every day of their lives.

“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.  Then you will be prosperous and successful.”    Joshua 1:8
